Building the next generation of vision leaders through research, media, and service.
Over 2.5 billion people live without the vision care they need. NeuOptics collects glasses, builds awareness through research and media, and partners with established organizations to connect those glasses with communities that need them.
"A youth-led nonprofit turning vision care from a privilege into a right."
NeuOptics was founded after witnessing firsthand how inaccessible vision care is in underserved communities, from Southern California to rural Guatemala. What began as a glasses drive grew into a full nonprofit with a research arm, community engagement, and a clinical distribution network.
Learn MoreFounded by high school students inspired by an optometry internship and visits to Guatemala, where uncorrected vision is one of the biggest barriers to education and opportunity.
We work with the Garden Grove Lions Club and California Lions In Sight, trusted clinical networks that screen communities and distribute glasses where they're needed most. We are actively looking for more direct distribution partners.
Every dollar donated is managed through HCB (Hack Club Bank), a 501(c)(3) fiscal sponsor that ensures full transparency and accountability.
Everything we do falls into one of three commitments: building knowledge, deepening community, and moving glasses to where they're needed.
Student-led articles, professional interviews, infographics, and social content that make vision health visible and accessible to everyone.
We volunteer as a team at events at schools and community centers, and are actively looking for more ways to expand our presence and do more with the community.
Drop boxes, pickup logistics, sorting, and clinical distribution through our partner organizations. Glasses go from your drawer to someone who genuinely needs them.
We're a young organization, and every number here is real.
Collected through donation boxes at Villa Park High School and America's Best Eyewear, with previous collections at a local church.
Transferred to Lions Club International for distribution during free vision screenings in underserved communities.
That's how many people worldwide lack access to vision correction. We're just getting started.
We're actively looking for new drop-off locations. Have a spot? Reach out.
Glasses collected through our donation boxes are sorted, organized, and transferred to our clinical partners for distribution at free vision screenings throughout Southern California.
